Help office professionals block out distractions and boost productivity with Blackwire 7225, the corded boomless UC&C headset with either USB-A or USB-C connectivity. In noisy office
environments, Blackwire 7225 delivers an immersive experience to focus on work while listening to media in hi-fi stereo. When it’s time to collaborate via audio or video, active noise canceling
(ANC) reduces background noise for the speaker. The pioneering boomless design meets office professionals’ needs for a stylish headset that looks and sounds great for listening to media or
collaborating on voice or video calls.
TOP FEATURES
• Ideal for all-day use, audio, video, and listening to multimedia
• On-demand active and passive-noise canceling block out distractions
• Dedicated PC/Mac connectivity with either universal USB-A or USB-C type connectivity
• A choice of black or white color finishes
• Four microphones detect noise from all directions, separate noise from the speaker’s voice,
with digital signal processing (DSP) to deliver a natural voice sound

The thing you immediately notice is that the 7225s don’t have a microphone boom – they look like headPHONES rather than a headSET. Now as any sound expert will tell you, nothing is better for quality voice transmission than a microphone that is close to your lips – proximity trumps technology every time BUT the 7225 has 4 mics in the headphones that listen to the noise around you then send the opposite signal to block out as much as possible of the background noise for your caller. So if you’re only using them for the occasional call, and you don’t work with a troop of baboons or in a workshop with machinery whirring away – you should be fine.
The ACTIVE noise cancelling will help block out distractions and help you stay focused on your task. Its not going to block out everything on its own but when you’re also playing music you will be blissfully unaware of your environment. You can turn this off if you want to and there’s also a talk through option which amplifies background noise over your music if someone pops over with a quick question.
Comfort is always king when it comes to headsets – doesn’t matter how fab the sound is if its so uncomfortable you want to take it off after 5 minutes. The ‘hammock’ style headband absorbs headband pressure and the memory foam ear cushions feel great. [Just a note for the ‘large of head’ community – we know you guys have problems getting headphones that don’t make you feel like your head’s in a vice, sorry this is probably not the right option for you either.] The earcups areconveniently labelled L & R so you know which way to put the headphones on – this is important for correct mic positioning (ie not behind your ear!).
Of course you can control your calls / music from the headphones too – call answer/end, mute & volume controls are on the earcups.
